Glory Tabernacle Ministry
Salvation | Sanctification | Service
Christ gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us and purify us unto Himself, a peculiar people, zealous of good works.
That every member will be a living model of genuine salvation, sanctification, and service to the Lord.
God gave the Pioneer General Pastor some definite revelations and visions which led to the birth of the Ministry. He received accurate details of the date to start, the Name of the Ministry, the Organisational Structure, the Venue, and Names of the Trustees.
Right from the early years of GT as a church, the Pastor has been clearly focused about the type of Christians that should form the core of membership of the church. Such Christians, established on the solid foundation of the Word of God, living victorious holy lives, ready and willing at all times to be effective tools in the crafty hands of the Master and usable for His purpose as worthy vessels, tried and effective for the work of the Kingdom and prepared for heaven; were to form the core of membership of GT right from onset.
When Dr. Hans Adu-Dapaah, a Ghanaian and first ever Elder of the church separated himself to fast and pray unto the Lord sometime in 1991, the Lord told him specifically that GT is a Ministry with divine origin and divine destiny. He devoted his entire time, limited resources, skills and family to the service of the Lord, mainly in the area of assisting Pastor Obed in the day-to-day chores of running the Ministry physically and spiritually. He was a sterling model of such workers promised by God, who took his lead from the style of the Pastor, basically labouring tirelessly in the vineyard of the Lord, non-relenting in assuming tasks, no matter how menial. It was this leadership by example style that would pass down to successive leaders (of various cadres) through the years, such that tasks get done, no matter the social or academic status of who was involved. Dr. Hans, in defining his motivations for doing God’s work at the Glory Tabernacle at that time said: It was not easy.
The church started on a note of sacrifice, commitment, dedication and faith in God. We had the goodwill and favour from God and men. God opened a number of doors. All hands were on deck. For the first one and half years Pastor Obed never accepted any preaching appointment. We concentrated on building the capacity of the members of the church.
Little wonder then that God has since lifted up Dr. Hans to unimaginable heights of professional and spiritual endeavour since his return to his nation. The General Pastor states "Soon, I discovered that truly, workers have been divinely placed in positions already". Till today, much of what is done in the Ministry is taken up by willing members according to their skills and professions. The Lord keeps providing them as the need arises. There has not been a time we were not able to perform a task for lack of workmen. God has been true to His words.
The seriousness attached to attaining set goals was clearly evidenced by the type of programmes and the content of such programmes that were devised for the edification of members who submit to the grooming school of the Holy Spirit in GT, initially at her Agbowo base, and later at the present Bodija location.
ADM is an end-time move of the Holy Spirit to restore the practice of apostolic-styled (life-transforming) discipleship in the church of the 21st century and beyond.
To make available to the church in all the continents of the world, the knowledge, practical skills, and resources, for effective apostolic-styled discipleship, by which believers can grow more systematically into the image of our Lord Jesus Christ.
The School in its origin, concept and course content is designed to train Christian leaders or potential leaders. It started in 1990 by a vision the Pioneer General Pastor of the Ministry Dr U Obed received from God of the need for the training of leaders for the contemporary Church. Its present structure as an organized training school came into being in 1995 when 189 participants graduated from the school.
The Apostolic Discipleship Movement organizes these strategic training sessions with view to enable disciple makers, pastors and church leaders and other committed individuals with skills and capacity to initiate, conduct and sustain transformational discipleship programs using tested apostolic discipleship movement materials.
Participants are also trained to be able to develop apostolic discipleship training materials.
The Believers Spiritual Growth program is the product of the ADM effort in developing a life-transforming discipleship programs. It comprises bible study materials developed in line with the three stages of spiritual growth as espoused by the ADM.
There are forty five bible study outlines in the first stage, and sixty in the second stage. The third stage is a formal teaching on identifying, developing and deploying one’s destiny fulfilling ministry.
I thank God for His Word is true. God told me in 1989 (when I gave my life to Jesus Christ): "You will be light to all nations". It had been happening in various ways. It happened again in May, 2015. I won the Tetfund Award as the first person to have ever won such in my faculty. Because the devil was angry, the money was withheld. In the last miracle service (January, 2016), I brought the matter before God. The servant of God (Pastor Obed, Mummy Chy, and Pastor Akinbola) declared the word of God on the approval and assured me that it was done. It has been actualized.
God moved mightily and it is really done because the management has decided that soon I will be interviewed on our radio and in the university's weekly bulletin to prove to the university community that this grant can be won by researchers in humanities because people think it is only researchers in science alone that can win it. Our God is good. A sister.
